Rumble Ready #2
Sunday, June 9 ⋅ 1:00 – 3:00pm
If Seattle were to experience an earthquake, or another large, disruptive event, are neighbors ready to stand up and support one another until help can arrive? We get closer all the time… but we need your help.
On Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 9th, several Emergency Communication Hubs in Seattle will activate their volunteers, set up the Hub, and simulate helping their neighbors handle pressing concerns. We need YOU to act as those “neighbors in need” and help us practice our skills. Please stop by!
The time is 1-3pm on both days. Check the map HERE to find the participating Hub closest to you! (Pay close attention to the date; Hubs are practicing on either June 1st OR June 9th).
Seattle Radio Field Day 2024
On June 22-23 Join us for Seattle Radio Field Day at South Seattle College!
http://www.seattleradiofieldday.org/
The focus for this event is ham radio, but we will be operating 100% on emergency power, and this is a great example of what it would be like to activate during a disaster. This event is produced by PSRG, WSARC, Seattle ACS and Cascadia Radio.
Saturday the 22nd will be loaded with talks and activities, and no license is required to get on the air! We have a dedicated station for aspiring hams.
Greenwood Hub - REBOOT!
Tuesday, May 28⋅7:00 – 8:30pm
Help us REBOOT Greenwood’s “Emergency Communication Hub”! We went a little quiet during COVID…
Let’s get back at it with some fresh energy and ideas! We’re looking for neighbors to learn how the Hub will support Greenwood neighbors after a major event. Also, to get involved in activities this summer.

Hub 101 - NE Seattle
Tuesday, May 21 ⋅ 7:00 – 8:30pm
Gather with neighbors for a FUN, indoor exercise (warm and dry!) to learn what a Hub is and how it operates. This event is very light on lecture; most of your time will be spent figuring out how to help neighbors (with problems we think will be common) after a disaster. No prior knowledge or training is needed. This event is open to all who are interested to learn about the Hubs and how you can help your community in a disaster.
